Combine Cubes 2048
A 3D take on merging where cubes stack and combine physically rather than sliding on a flat grid.
Cubes are dropped rather than swiped, and they stack with real physics. Land two matching cubes together and they merge; land badly and you build an unstable tower with values buried where you cannot reach them.
The physics adds a dimension of error that grid-based merging does not have. A correct decision can still go wrong if the cube lands askew, which makes this the least deterministic game in the category.
Aim for a flat surface. Height is the enemy — every layer you build makes the cubes below unreachable. Merging sideways along the base keeps your options open far longer than stacking upward.
More arcade than the rest of this category, and best approached that way.
