4096: Power of Two

2048 with the target doubled. Same rules, twice the runway, and far less margin for a wasted move.

Identical mechanics to 2048, with the goal moved to 4096. That single change alters the whole game: reaching 2048 is now the halfway point, and you have to get there with the board tidy enough to keep going.

What changes at this length is that recovery becomes impossible. In a normal 2048 run you can absorb two or three bad swipes. Here, the same mistakes compound — you arrive at 2048 with a fragmented board and no room to build the next tier.

Anchor a corner from the first move rather than the tenth. Runs that reach 4096 almost always look tidy at the 512 mark; runs that fail almost always look slightly messy well before they look lost.

For anyone who finds standard 2048 too short to be interesting.
